He was now unable to zoom around on his bike like before, visiting family, place or doing a spot of shopping like he enjoyed before. For a short time the reality of this life changing event effected his joy of life. Not able to put a good man down he bought himself a petrol motored assisted bicycle ( not a motorbike). This allowed him to regain and rebuild his strength, but so he didn’t over exert himself he could use the motor when he needed to.
At this point we discovered Ogden Bolton Jr, an American inventor with a vision of future mobility. Ogden sat in his workshop while electric bike debates were happening around him. Like us he could see a demand and a future for electric bikes, unfortunately he needed the technology to catch up with his passion.

We realised that if Sarah had one during her pregnancy she could go further. We also talked about how they could help other cyclists to keep pedalling, whatever obstacles they faced. They could help the inactive get active, the people who commute far from home to commute by electric bike, make the air cleaner, the roads clearer and save people money. We fell in love with electric bikes and their place in the future. We set out to create an electric bike that would match our vision.
The technology is now here and we are bringing alive Ogden’s vision of beautiful commuting machines.
